United Tri-State Umpires (UTS) has named Mike MacStudy Coordinator of Training and Recruitment, effective immediately. In his role, MacStudy will implement and direct an aggressive umpire education and recruitment program and work closely with Director of Operations, Dave Martinez to expand the UTS footprint of training and assigning.
Mike's passion for training, relatability and empathy for his peers, and commitment to helping the umpire community make him a perfect fit for this crucial role.

Adding a formal presence to the UTS umpire training and recruitment program is one that MacStudy embraces given his background in the United system, “I’m excited for this opportunity to train, recruit and spread the love of the craft to umpires of all experience levels. As someone who came up through the United training program, it feels great to be able to give back and grow the profession of umpiring.”
