United Collegiate Umpires (UCU) is dedicated to advancing the standard of NCAA baseball officiating through education, accountability, and professional development. Founded in 2014, UCU serves collegiate conferences and institutions by providing highly trained umpires whose preparation and performance reflect the caliber of the game they officiate.
Guided by the belief that Umpires Advance United, UCU emphasizes consistent standards, clear expectations, and ongoing evaluation. Our approach is built on year-round development, ensuring umpires are supported not only during the season but throughout every stage of their professional growth.
Continuing education is central to UCU’s mission. Through structured training, evaluation, mentorship, and advancement opportunities, we invest in umpires who demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, and a commitment to continuous improvement. This focus allows conferences and member institutions to trust that their games are officiated with integrity, consistency, and respect for the student-athlete experience.
