Tentative Schedule
Our clinics begin with classroom instruction on the first day/evening. We then follow up the next day with an all day on-field instruction and drills. Live evaluation games are held the final two days of the clinic.
Northern New Jersey 4-Umpire
- Tuesday, July 21: Classroom (6 pm)
- Wednesday, July 22: On Field Instruction & Drills (Typically begins at 8 am)
- Thursday-Sunday, July 23-26: Live Evaluation Games (Varies Day & Evening)

Our 4-Umpire clinics These clinics are designed for the experienced post-season umpires and advanced college umpires desirous of enhancing their skills in the 4-umpire system.
Students develop advanced thinking methods and methodologies for recognition of play development with a specialized focus on non-routine and unexpected variations. These intense weekend with a professional approach to the instruction of four-man mechanics.
Instructors
Our staff comprises former and current professional umpires and postseason-caliber collegiate umpires. Division I and III umpire assignors will be in attendance, working with umpires to elevate their game.
CAA and Big East Umpire Coordinator Tom Honec and United Collegiate Umpires’ Founder/CEO and Division I Coordinator, Alex Skandalis along with other Division I coordinators will be in attendance.
You will learn from accomplished umpires, teaching the techniques required to excel when working a 4-umpire game. These umpires are dedicated to sharing the skills and techniques that have made them successful at the game's highest levels.
Clinic Locations
Our current 4-Umpire clinics offered:
- Northern New Jersey (Montclair State University, Montclair, NJ) Tuesday, July 21 through Sunday, July 26.
More specific locations and information will be provided to approved registrants.
Travel Planning Information
Umpires are on their own for all transportation and lodging accommodations. Umpires should only plan on leaving their clinic after 4:00 pm on the last day of their respective clinic. Once you're accepted, please wait to book a flight home on the last day of the clinic, departing after 6:30 pm.
Only book non-refundable travel after you are approved!
Registrations are limited!
We have limited spots for our 4-Umpire clinics. We have a maximum of 40 spots available at each clinic. Registration will remain open until full (or one week before the respective clinic).
All registrations are subject to assignor approval. If not approved, any monies paid will be refunded.

Tuition does not include any lodging accommodations. Umpires are responsible for travel and personal expenses.
