United Collegiate Umpires Appointed North Atlantic Conference Coordinator of Baseball Umpires

Mahwah, NJ – July 14, 2021 – United Collegiate Umpires (UCU) has been appointed North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Coordinator of Baseball Umpires.

“I would like to thank Commissioner Zalot, Associate Commissioner Roy, the athletic directors and members of the NAC search committee for their confidence in our program, demonstrated through this appointment”, stated UCU Executive Vice-President, Alex Skandalis.

Skandalis continued, “We have long-standing relationships with many of the institutions and members of the NAC community through various previous assigning ventures.  We are excited to work with the NAC in our role as their first Coordinator of Baseball Umpires and work to bring a centralized, consistent officiating product to their baseball program.”

“We are excited to move forward with an excellent group of professionals who will enhance the playing experience for student athletes in the NAC,” stated NAC Commissioner Marcella Zalot.

NAC Associate Commissioner, Kate Roy added: “The committee was impressed with Alex [Skandalis] and the entire United Collegiate Umpires team through the search process. They are top-rate professionals who will provide excellent umpiring for NAC Baseball. Our baseball administrators and coaches are excited to work with this team, too.”
