Umpires Announced for the 2019 NECBL All-Star Game
Mahwah, NJ – July 23, 2019 – Don Goller (North Boston, NY) will serve as Crew Chief for the 2019 New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) All-Star Game, to be played Sunday, July 28 at Montpelier Recreation Field, home of the Vermont Mountaineers.
Goller will be joined by Jesse West (Chesapeake, VA) who will call balls and strikes, Rudy Firmbach (Kinderhook, NY), and Joey Stegner (Meridian, ID).
With all four umpires making their NECBL All-Star Game debut, UCU Executive VP, Alex Skandalis is pleased to have Don, a Division I Super Regional Umpire, lead the crew.
Skandalis said,“Don brings a wealth of experience in running a game in the NECBL’s signature event. He is joined by Rudy, a Division III College World Series umpire, Jesse, a product of our training program who has advanced his game significantly over the past few years and Joey, a new summer staff member who has been part of our talent infusion as a former Triple-A umpire. I look forward to this diverse crew complimenting the talented student-athletes in the NECBL All-Star Game.”
