Mahwah, NJ – July 14, 2021 – United Collegiate Umpires (UCU) has been appointed North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Coordinator of Baseball Umpires.

“I would like to thank Commissioner Zalot, Associate Commissioner Roy, the athletic directors and members of the NAC search committee for their confidence in our program, demonstrated through this appointment”, stated UCU Executive Vice-President, Alex Skandalis.

Skandalis continued, “We have long-standing relationships with many of the institutions and members of the NAC community through various previous assigning ventures.  We are excited to work with the NAC in our role as their first Coordinator of Baseball Umpires and work to bring a centralized, consistent officiating product to their baseball program.”

We are excited to move forward with an excellent group of professionals who will enhance the playing experience for student athletes in the NAC,” stated NAC Commissioner Marcella Zalot.

NAC Associate Commissioner, Kate Roy added: “The committee was impressed with Alex [Skandalis] and the entire United Collegiate Umpires team through the search process. They are top-rate professionals who will provide excellent umpiring for NAC Baseball. Our baseball administrators and coaches are excited to work with this team, too.

Founded in 1957, The New Jersey Athletic Conference is a college athletic conference affiliated with the NCAA’s Division III. Full members are in New Jersey. Mahwah, NJ – August 7, 2018 – United Collegiate Umpires (UCU) has been appointed RussMatt Central Florida Invitational Coordinator of Baseball Umpires in Division II, Division III, JUCO, and NAIA.

“Having worked at RussMatt early in my career, I experienced first-hand how important these early season games are for teams and umpires”, stated UCU President, Chris Marshall.

Marshall continued, “As a coordinator now with this vast inventory of competitive games in Central Florida, I am excited at the prospects in forming this partnership with RussMatt, widely viewed throughout the country as a superior spring destination. The opportunity to evaluate our staff and identify other talented umpires early in the season is a significant development in the evolution of our program.”

Mahwah, NJ – July 27, 2018 – United Collegiate Umpires (UCU) has been appointed Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Coordinator of Baseball Umpires.

“We are very much looking forward to this partnership with the Atlantic East Conference”, stated UCU Executive Vice President, Alex Skandalis. “The trust placed in us by the AEC founding members is a testament to the work put in, on and off the field, by our umpires and provides an opportunity for all of us to grow and evolve with this new conference partner.”

Atlantic East Conference Commissioner, Jessica Huntley, stated: “We are excited to partner with United Collegiate Umpires as the first-ever baseball assigning group for the Atlantic East. As we launch our inaugural year, it was important we find the best assigners for our student-athletes, coaches, and teams.”
