What are the dates for the games played at RussMatt 2020?

RussMatt begins February 28, 2020, and ends March 26, 2020

What are the game fees?

9-inning: $100/7-inning: $80 (Division II, III, NAIA, JUCO)

Is there a time when the daily schedule is high?

Yes. February 29 – March 15

What is the registration process?

The registration period for RussMatt 2020 is closed.

What is the deadline to register?

Mid-November 2019 or when the event is staffed to completion.

Are umpires required to be a member of UCU?

No. For umpires who are not – your references are important.

How will game schedules be disseminated?


Are there specific uniform requirements?

Yes. UCU hats are to be worn at ALL games. UCU hats can be ordered at Stripes and Strikes, UCU’s exclusive uniform supplier. Order online at or call the store at 570-599-6936.

Remaining standards are as follows: Charcoal grey pants, MLB style black/blue shirts with colored side panel (Majestic or Smitty). NOTE: Crew must wear matching shirts with no numbers or conference affiliation.

Where are the games being played?

The majority of the games will be played at the main complexes:

  • Lake Myrtle Sports Complex (Auburndale), 905 Lake Myrtle Park Road, Auburndale, FL 33823
  • Chain of Lakes Park, 210 Cypress Garden Blvd., Winter Haven, FL 33880

Can lodging accommodations be made taking into consideration location of game sites?


Are there RussMatt lodging options?

Yes. They are as follows with daily rates:

  • Umpire House (6 to 8 people) – $20
  • Host Hotel Room with roommate – Approximately $37.50
  • Host Hotel Room Single – Approximately $75
  • Umpires are only eligible for $20 housing if they are in town for a minimum of seven nights.

Can umpires make their own lodging arrangements?
